Ano ba ang HRT at para sayo ba ito?



HRT - Hormone Replacement Therapy.

Basically ang term na HRT among the trans community ay ang use ng hormones as gender-affirming. Meaning, sa transwomen, ito ay ang pagkakaron ng physical characteristics ng isang babae at sa transman naman ay sa isang lalake.

Kailangan ba ito at bakit ito ginagawa?

Lahat ay ayon sa isang individual. May mga transwoman and transman na di naman dumaan sa HRT, ito ay maaring dahil choice nila at sa iba naman dahil may underlying medical conditions na hadlang o pwede rin it's because of economic reasons. Whatever reason ng brothers and sisters nating mga trans, we should still accept and love them as one of us.
